Quick update on project Mule Wagon. We have pulled the stock engine, transmission and transfer case in preparation for the 6.0 LS engine and transmission swap. We will be sticking with the factory transfer case, but with a full rebuild using a Sumo low range and Cruiser Teq rebuild kit.
The engine and transmission pulled from the Mule Wagon. We will be installing a LS 6.0 and GM auto transmission.
The stock HF2AV transfer case has been cleaned and ready to be disasembled and rebuilt.
The factory front axle housing ready to be cleaned and rebuilt.
With the extra horsepower and torque from the LS, we are opted for the stronger 100 Series rear axle.
Both the front and rear axle housings will be loaded with fresh gears and ARB Air Lockers®.
Once we box in the rear of the body, we will pull the body from the frame to do body work and clean the frame up.
Thats about it on this update. We are just waiting on some key components to show up before moving forward. Come back to the blog in a few weeks for the next update.
